We arrived in Miami to visit family Wednesday evening. Yesterday we made our first trek downtown to Art Basel 2008. OOOOHHH LA LA!!!! Can you say….HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!
It was an artist's feast with hundreds and hundreds of galleries from all over the world displaying artworks from the masters, contemporary and emerging artists. I stood in front of two original Matisse sketches and tears welled up in my eyes! To see the actual lines and his hand work was truly overwhelming. 
Miami Holocaust Memorial
Next week, I will put together a slide show of some of our time spent there. I am hoping to get around to some of the off beat…out of the box local artist exhibits. The people watching is a show in itself!
