Professional Collaborations
Partnering with therapists and others interested in offering experiential activities and powerful breakthroughs for their clients, through the use of expressive arts and/or equine facilitated experiences, has been a passion of mine for many years.

Current Partners Include:
Program + Curriculum Development
I design programs, curriculum, and unique special projects for schools, organizations, and non-profits. I work with both child and adult populations.
I create rituals and ceremonies to support transitions, celebrations and grief and loss.
Some of these include:
- 1991-The Quilt of Cultural Understanding. A photo quilt and narratives by children promoting cultural understanding in the Roaring Fork Valley. Children were given cameras to “photograph their world” Essays were written to share their life experiences.
- 2010-2011-The Child’s Eye: A 9-month art, photography and equine program to promote self-esteem, communication, and creativity for youth-at-risk, in collaboration with the Manus Fund and CCAH. The program culminated in a book and exhibition at Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanity.
- 2012-Art, Healing, and HOPE. A 6-week curriculum for cancer patients and survivors. The program was sponsored by Valley View Hospital, Aspen Thrift Store, The Manus Foundation and Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities, and Oncology On Canvas. The project culminated in an exhibition of local artists as well as international artists from Oncology On Canvas.
- 2014-2016-Jaywalker Lodge Recovery Center-Designed, developed, and implemented expressive art and equine facilitated learning curriculums, including a working art studio.
- 2017-Current-Art, Healing, and Hope a free community outreach program, offering mental health support through creativity. The program is sponsored by The Art Base and Calaway•Young Cancer Center.
- 1989-Present-Ongoing community-based expressive arts programs and workshops through my company Creative Awakenings International for adults and children
